Doctors Giving Back is currently working in the forgotten land of Ethiopia Africa. We do much of our work in the Western part of Ethiopia known as the

Benishangul-Gumuz region

which borders Sudan. In this region, there is only One hospital for its almost One Million residents.

The regional hospital, in the small town of Assosa, has only 2 doctors and 1 surgeon. The hospital has very limited supplies and medications.

The average annual income is less than $100 (USD) which makes this predominately rural region one of the poorest in the world.
